Hi John,
Yes, installing the Full package installs .Net, which is still installed, so you will need the minimal package to upgrade to version 7.2.2.

You state "XP and Vista users will probably need to use a Full package for the first installation of FW 7." Does this mean that a subsequent installation of FW 7 requires only the Minimal package? I currently have 7.0.5 and want to upgrade to 7.2.2.

Hi Atour,
You can import your dictionary data into Flex from Excel using a small program called SheetSwiper (http://projects.palaso.org/projects/sheetswiper).
That will convert your Excel data to .sfm format which you can bring into Flex.

Hi,
Is there any way that I import the list of words in lexicon part from .txt document or excel?
I was able to import to Texts and Words ( Text analyses) but I don't see them in Lexicon.
Thanks for your help.

Upgrades between certain versions of FieldWorks cannot be made by patch. because some types of changes are incompatible with the patching technology we use. We try to keep changes where only the third node changes upgradeable by patch.

on Page http://fieldworks.sil.org/download/fw-72/ you say
"Unfortunately, we cannot provide a patch for you to upgrade to 7.2."

Just wondering why that is?

How do I upgrade from Language Explorer 7.0 to a newer version using an upgrader program and not have to download the whole thing each time?

Eldo,
Are you connected with others in the Bible translation movement there in India. If so, you can check with them for advice (Viji Mathew or someone at NLCI can probably help). I believe Windows includes a Malayalam keyboard, but NLCI has one which seems to be preferred. If you are not connected there, please let me know and I will try to help you further.
